The global launch of this qualification by NEBOSH in conjunction with the UK Health and Safety Executive took place on the 29th Sept 2017.
For companies who recruit holders of this qualification it demonstrates commitment to Process Safety which will have a knock on effect towards Health Safety Environmental aspects of their business.
This qualification has been developed by NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive so companies who employ Certificated PSM holders can demonstrate their commitment to learning developed in part by the regulator.
The course reflects strongly on risk control methodology utilised in Process Industries. How risk management tools are applied in process safety risk identification and assessment (Bowtie, HAZOP, HAZID, Event trees, What-if Analysis and FMEA), application in project phases from concept, design, start-up.
The course is particularly relevant to the following people working in a process environment :
- Team Leaders, supervisors and managers
- Process Operators
- Newly qualified health and safety advisors
The qualification is NOT designed for chemical and process safety engineers experienced in the specification, design and maintenance of the integrity of process plant.
Unit PSM1: Process Safety Management:
There are 4 elements in this qualification:
Element 1 Process Safety Leadership
Element 2 Management of process risk
Element 3 Process safety hazard control
Element 4 Fire protection and emergency response
UPCOMING PSM TRAINING DATES:
To justify a course in any location a minimum of 6 students are needed for the training to be delivered, once the 6 students are signed up HRC will confirm the location of the training in the City/Town stated.
